Can I change my Username?

This article addresses what fields may be changed on a user profile. A user with applicable role(s) and permissions may edit only certain fields on a user profile.

Once a user is created, it is not possible to change the user name. The user profile fields which may be edited on for a user, after the user has been created, are the following fields:

  • Email address
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Organization ID
  • Primary Point of Contact
  • Roles
  • Group membership

Each user account must have a unique username and email address within your tenant. If you attempt to create a duplicate username or duplicate email address, you may see a 401 error message. In the event you are seeing an error message and the username or email is not duplicated, please contact support for assistance.
